Neil Taylor set to miss Villa’s clash with Millwall

Aston Villa are set to be without defender Neil Taylor this weekend after it was revealed that he has picked up a hamstring injury.

The full-back is set to be absent for Villa’s trip to London this weekend where they will face Millwall but is hopeful of returning in time for the play-offs, which his side have already qualified for.

The 29-year-old has played a vital role for Steve Bruce’s side all season and will be a miss but the hope is that he will be available to compete for Villa as they bid to clinch the final promotion spot.

Taylor has played 32 times this season and although he’ll be frustrated by the late injury blow, it could prove to be a good time for the player to recharge the batteries ahead of the crucial play-offs.
