- Aston Villa’s 2026/27 Premier League fixture have been announced
- Their opening sees them travel to the Amex to take on Brighton
- On the final day of the season, they host Tottenham at Villa Park
Aston Villa will kick off their 2026/27 Premier League campaign away to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday August 23rd. All 38 matches have now been confirmed, with each kick-off time subject to change.
Fresh off their historic Europa League triumph and a subsequent return to the Champions League, the Villans are set to balance intense domestic expectations alongside their elite continental battles.
Following their trip to the Amex on the opening weekend, live on Sky Sports, Villa will return to Villa Park for an immense home opener. They are scheduled to host the defending Premier League champions, Arsenal, on Saturday, August 29th. This high-profile encounter will quickly test Emery’s tactical setup before they travel north to face newly-promoted Hull City to start September.
Due to the scheduling of the winter FIFA World Cup, this entire Premier League season will commence roughly one week later than usual. Supporters will also have an eye on early silverware, as Villa’s competitive campaign technically begins even earlier on August 12th, when they contest the Super Cup against PSG at the Salzburg Arena.

Festive period
Fixture release day always causes supporters to immediately scan the winter calendar, and the 2026 festive period promises to be an absolute grueling test of squad depth. Over the course of 18 days, Villa will navigate a highly congested block of fixtures.
The holiday rush begins at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Saturday, December 19th. This is followed by consecutive home games at Villa Park. Villa will host Daniel Farke’s Leeds United on Boxing Day, followed by a clash against Liverpool on Wednesday, December 30th.
Then two away games follow on January 2nd and January 6th, against Bournemouth and Everton respectively.
End of season run-in
Should Villa find themselves locked in another tight race for European qualification, the final month of the season will require nerves of steel. May 2027 begins with a trip to Crystal Palace, followed by an away match at Brentford.
In their final away game of the season, Villa will replicate the end of their previous campaign by travelling to face Manchester City. Then the 2026/27 season will officially draw to a close on Sunday May 30th 2027, with a grand finale against Tottenham in front of the home faithful at Villa Park.
