  • Aston Villa have announced their 2026/27 ticketing details
  • The key figures show that the club has increased season tickets and match-by-match tickets by 5%
  • Champions League tickets have also bee hiked by 5% from those set in the 2024/25 campaign

Aston Villa have announced the ticketing details for the 2026/27 campaign, as 5% hikes issued across season tickets, match-by-match tickets and Champions League tickets.

These changes mean Villa’s prices have risen by 5% two seasons running, despite the club facing backlash over the current affordability.

In the announcement, they state five principles that they have used in their approach to the ticketing prices and access. These are:

  • A packed Villa Park – they want every home game to be played in front of a full house
  • Fairer access for all fans – balance loyalty with new opportunities
  • Embracing the next generation – making it easier for more young supporters
  • Loyalty matters – recognise the commitment shown by fans in how the club has structured access and pricing
  • Investment in the team – want to achieve revenue targets to support ongoing investment in the squad

Next season, the capacity of Villa Park will drop to around 37,000 due to the closure of the North Stand, which will reopen before the start of the 2027-28 campaign, increasing stadium capacity to over 50,000 seats.

Season tickets

Firstly, as part of an affordability initiative, Villa have introduced a 19-game season ticket, which is just for Premier League matches, and a 23-game season ticket, which includes the four Champions League matches from the league phase as well.

Specifically, for the 19-game adult season ticket, Zone 1 will now cost £997.50, working out at £52.50 per match. Meanwhile, the rest of the adult season tickets are as follows:

  • Zone 2 – £902.50
  • Zone 3 – £845.50
  • Zone 4 – £703.00

For the 23-game adult season ticket, Zone 1 will cost £1,297.50, meaning the four Champions League matches would cost £75 each, which is around 10% cheaper than buying them individually. The other zones are priced at:

  • Zone 2 – £1,202.50
  • Zone 3 – £1,111.50
  • Zone 4 – £969.00

In addition to these individual options, Villa have continued their family package season ticket offering, with the 19-game bundle costing £1,691 and the 23-game bundle £2,375. These prices are for two adults and two under-18s in Zone 4.

Matchday tickets and category pricing

Despite there being a 5% increase in match-by-match tickets for next season, Villa have confirmed that they will freeze these prices for the 2027/28 campaign.

Furthermore, the category pricing has been changed, with the removal of the 1888 Price Zone, leaving just Zones 1-4. Matches have been allocated specific categories, with the most expensive Premier League games in Category 3.

  • Category 1 – Champions League, knock-out phase
  • Category 2 – Champions League, league phase
  • Category 3 – Top Premier League teams and key fixture dates
  • Category 4 – Remaining Premier League teams and fixture dates
  • Category 5 – League and FA Cup: Quarter-finals and beyond
  • Category 6 – League and FA Cup: Rounds before quarter-finals

With regards to domestic cups, all home matches have been capped at £25 for adults, £20 for over-66s, under-21s, and armed forces personnel, and £10 for under-18s.

Additionally, Villa will confirm the prices for the Category 1 tickets should they progress to the knock-out phase of the Champions League.

For the other categories, prices for adult non-season ticket holders are as follows:

Category 2:

  • Zone 1 – £99.00
  • Zone 2 – £99.00
  • Zone 3 – £98.50
  • Zone 4 – £89.50

Category 3:

  • Zone 1- £86.50
  • Zone 2 – £81.00
  • Zone 3 – £75.00
  • Zone 4 – £61.00

Category 4:

  • Zone 1 – £62.00
  • Zone 2 – £56.00
  • Zone 3 – £51.50
  • Zone 4 – £49.50

Reasoning

Ultimately, the main reason for Villa’s rise in ticket prices is investment to improve facilities at Villa Park and the overall matchday experience for fans.

Since 2024, the club has invested £6 million in several projects, including full redecoration of the Holte End, Doug Ellis and Trinity concourses, as well as upgrading toilet facilities in those areas, and adding additional kiosks and bars in the Trinity Road Upper and Doug Ellis Upper.

Finally, Villa has also revealed that by the beginning of the 2026/27 season, they will have replaced all seats around the stadium.
