Wolves linked with swoop for ex-Villa target Luyindama – Should Smith reignite his interest?

Wolves have been linked with a move for Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama, who had previously been touted with a move to Aston Villa.

The defender, who only joined Galatasary from Standard Liege this summer, but Fanatik report that Wolves and West Ham are both looking at a January move.

The Premier League pair have reportedly sent scouts to watch the defender in action in the UEFA Champions League against Club Brugge and Paris Saint Germain.

Villa were interested in a deal for the defender over the summer, but no move would end up happening.

The defender was a target for Villa, but it is unlikely they will join West Ham and Wolves in a January switch.

Tyrone Mings and Bjorn Engels have established themselves in the Villa defence, meaning that signing a defender in January is surely not a priority now.

Signing a striker in the January window is surely a huge priority for Villa and Dean Smith.
