Nakamba’s camp confident Villa move can be done quickly

Aston Villa are thought to be €2 million away from Club Brugge’s €12 million valuation of midfielder Marvelous Nakamba.

However, according to Belgian outlet Het Belang van Limburg, relayed in an article by Sports Witness, Nakamba’s camp are confident a deal can go through fairly quickly.

The powerful midfielder recently went AWOL in an attempt to force through a move to Villa Park, with the Zimbabwe international currently in Paris awaiting news on his future.

Despite already signing seven players this summer, Villa boss Dean Smith is keen on adding to his squad ahead of the new season, with a defensive midfielder high on his wishlist.

Villa have been keen on Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips, however, it looks like they have now turned their attention to the Nakamba.

Club record signing Wesley Moraes joined from Club Brugge earlier this summer, and it appears as if Nakamba could well follow him to the Midlands in the coming weeks, especially following the latest reports.
