Aston Villa pushing to sign Tammy Abraham on loan

Aston Villa are making deadline day push to sign Tammy Abraham on loan from Chelsea, as per John Percy of The Telegraph.

Chelsea are willing to let the 20-year-old go out on loan, at least until January, and Villa are pushing hard to get a deal over the line.

Abraham, who has been capped twice by England, scored 23 goals in 41 Championship appearances when he was on loan at Bristol City during the 2016/17 season and Steve Bruce will be hoping that he can replicate that form if he does make a temporary switch to Villa Park.

The striker spent last season on loan at Swansea City, scoring eight goals in 39 appearances in all competitions, and he’s looking for another loan move as he wants to play regular first-team football.

With the chances of getting into the Chelsea starting line up looking very slim, at best, a loan to Villa looks like a great move for all parties.
