It has today been confirmed by Aston Villa that Leandro Bacuna has joined Reading on a permanent transfer.

The versatile defender signs a four-year deal with the Royals and will be keen to make his mark on the Championship after enduring a difficult few years at Villa Park.
Incidentally, Bacuna could make his debut at Villa. The signing was completed in time for the Dutchman to be eligible for the contest away at Reading, and Bacuna could come up against his old side for the first time on Tuesday evening.
Since signing for Villa back in the summer of 2013, Bacuna was a prominent feature in the squad in all of his seasons with the club. He racked up over 100 appearances in Villa colours and will now hope to further his career with their fellow Championship promotion hopefuls, Reading.
