Villa reject €6 million bid from Sevilla for Amavi

Sevilla have had a €6m offer for Jordan Amavi turned down by Aston Villa, with the Championship side holding out for a fee in the region of €10 million, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The full-back has been placed on the transfer list this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by manager Steve Bruce.

It looks very likely that Amavi will move on from Villa Park, however, Villa are not willing to let him go on the cheap and are looking to negotiate with Sevilla for the Frenchman’s services.

Amavi joined Villa two years ago from Nice for a fee around £9 million and the Midland side are looking to at least recoup that £9 million back.

The Championship club stated they have received a lot of interest in Amavi for months, with owner Tony Xia claiming that they’d turned down a €25m offer from China in January.
