According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are refusing to sell any of their players on the cheap this summer.
A number of fringe players are set to leave Villa Park this summer as the Midland’s club need to sell before they can buy, but Villa will not sell any player for less than their worth.
Jordan Veretout and Carles Gill are two Villa players who are wanting to leave the club.
Veretout spent the whole of last season on loan at Ligue 1’s St Etienne and the French side are keen to sign him on a permanent basis.
Likewise, Gill spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna but the Spanish side are struggling to find the cash to sign him on a permanent basis.
It is thought that Villa are looking to recoup around £9million for both players after Veretout cost them £10million and Gill arrived for £3.25million.
Jordan Amavi is another Aston Villa player attracting a lot of interest with both Napoli and Sampdoria being linked.
Amavi also cost Villa £10million back in 2015 and the club will look to earn back as much of that money as they can.
