Villa fans rage as Lescott reacts to thumping in strange fashion

After captaining Aston Villa to a 6-0 loss against Liverpool at home, Lescott’s public reaction wasn’t to apologies to the fans for a poor team performance, but to post an image of a Mercedes to all of his followers.

Lescott has improved under Remi Garde this season so far, but it all came undone against Liverpool with the former England International, poor positional play and static marking seemed to be a natural part of his game, rather than the hungry instincts he has shown in the past.

The tweet saw outrage from fans, bemused at the confusing tweet with seemingly no context.

Lescott has since issued an apology for the teams performance against Liverpool, also citing that the tweet was composed accidentally when he driving as his phone was in his pocket.

Villa sit at the bottom of the table and look almost favourite’s to go down after such a woeful performance against Liverpool.

Remi Garde said after the game that he’d select 11 players that would fight for the next game against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
