Chelsea v Aston Villa – Four things we’ve learnt

We love you Brad, but it’s time for a change

Brad Guzan is a top quality shot stopper with great communication but football has changed. Guzan has been at the club for 7 years and isn’t the best with his feet, this has cost us points and it seems he can’t learn from the mistakes he’s making.

Playing Gestede isn’t working

Gestede makes us predictable, it’s an easy tactic and shows a lack of intelligence from Sherwood to employ him every game. We need more than a battering ram down the middle of the pitch.

The midfield seems to be working well

For all of Westwood’s faults during his Villa career, it seems that he sets the tone in the center of the park – something we have seen a bit more of today. Composed on the ball, good passing range and seems to lead by example.

Tactically, we’re all wrong

Sherwood is getting the tactics and game management all wrong and this isn’t the first time either. Some wonder why people are calling for his head – but it’s costing us vital points.

Interested in Football, Politics and obviously Aston Villa.
